SPITFIRE BOUNCE No 25

 

Well what can we say other than THANK YOU to all who came along to this special anniversary dance celebrating your 25th SPITFIRE BOUNCE DANCE. Three of the GREATEST DJ's EVER, JEFF "TWO-TONE BOOGIE", JEAN CHRISTOPHE ( JC ) from FRANCE and THE GREAT JUMPIN' JIM. This combination of dj's kept the floor jumpin' all night long. WOW what an atmosphere we had, GREAT MUSIC, GREAT DANCING from THE GREAEST DANCERS and GREAT PEOPLE. This was in our books one of the BEST EVER SPITFIRE BOUNCE DANCES. All right I hear you say that we were not packed to the brim, but hey! it's about how much you all enjoy yourselves not how many come through the door. As usual IRENE done another wonderful stint in THE SPITFIRE NAFFI in her most professional way. The FREE tea, coffee, squash and doughnuts went really well again, so much energy was used for dancing the doughnuts went really well keeping your energy levels up. Again the stalls helped raise the atmosphere, THANK YOU to all the stall holders. We also had 'the I'm Famous' photography team taking photos of yourselves for you to purchase on the night (note: if you had your photo taken you can purchase more copies on the I'm Famouse web-site) and from those purchases you managed to raise another £25 for THE NOT FORGOTTEN ASSOCIATION, tTHANK YOU everyone.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who turns up early and stays late to help set up and pack away.

A REALLY BIG THANK YOU to MICK the OFFICIAL photographer for THE SPITFIRE BOUNCE. MICK has taken hundreds and hundreds of photos of you all at THE SPITFIRE BOUNCE DANCES and has never asked for anything in return. You can see the photo's taken on the Gallery pages.

Well another GREAT night was had and what a buzz was left with everyone at the end of this night.

 

 Well we're certainly looking forward to SPITFIRE BOUNCE No 26 and another GREAT ATMOSPHERIC night of MUSIC & DANCE from another THREE TOP CLASS DJ's we hope to see you all there.

EACH DANCE WILL HAVE THREE TOP DJ'S FROM THE 1940'S 1950'S DANCE SCENE.

THERE WILL BE TWO GREAT GUEST DJ'S AT EACH DANCE

 

EACH DANCE STARTS AT 7.30pm AND ENDS AT MIDNIGHT

GIVING YOU A FULL FOUR AND A HALF HOURS OF GREAT DANCING AND LISTENING PLEASURE IN A GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND VENUE.

THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING AND EACH VENUE IS EASY TO GET TO BY CAR, BUS OR TRAIN. (SEE OUR MAP'S PAGE)

FOR THE OTFORD 1940'S SWING, 1940'S CIVILIAN OR ALLIED UNIFORM.

PLEASE NOTE: ALTHOUGH WE HAVE SPECIFIED A DRESS CODE WE UNDERSTAND THAT NOT EVERYONE HAS THE

CLOTHES OR STYLES FROM THE 1940'S AND/OR 1950'S. THE DRESS CODE IS NOT STRICT.

OTFORD SWING No 21

 

Well  once again we had another TOP night of MUSIC and Dancing at THE OTFORD 1940s SWING DANCE. Well what else could happen with TERRY ELLIOTT and JEFF 'TWO-TONE BOOGIE' on the decks?. By the responses we got everyone had a whale of a FESTIVE time. The very

best of swing dance music was played by both DJ's and the floor took a real bashing. All the FREE tea, coffee, squash, doughnuts and festive extras went very well. Well that's why their provided. LESLEY and TONY (Home Front Fashions) were back, along with their wonderful display of  goods. MARIAN (Dead Peoples Stuff) also bought along a wide selection of goods for sale. CINDY (The Hat Lady) was also on hand with another selection of goods. Also Preservers Of Sound had a small selection of music CD's available. Well like we say the whole night went really well and we ourselves had a wonderful time getting everything organised as well as doing the whole night. THANK YOU to our helpers, SHARON and JOHN, DIANE and PETER, MATT and LOUISE.

THANK YOU also to you all for turning up and supporting THE OTFORD 1940s SWING DANCE.

GENERAL NEWS

 

Firstly we would like to thank you all for your continued support at THE SPITFIRE BOUNCE and THE OTFORD 1940'S SWING DANCE.

There is one very important thing to remember and that is without your continued support,  these dances would not be as GREAT as they are. You are the ones who make these dances so GREAT. We also want to thank all of you who have supported us with your Kind and Positive comments.

 

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU EVERYONE

 

There is one thing you can be sure of and that is that we will continue to work just as hard for you all to be sure that you all have GREAT NIGHTS OUT at THE SPITFIRE BOUNCE and THE OTFORD 1940'S SWING DANCE.

 

PLEASE NOTE: All money from the collection box at THE SPITFIRE BOUNCE and THE OTFORD 1940'S SWING DANCE will along with a good percentage of the dance profit and all the money made from the raffle at THE OTFORD 1940'S SWING DANCE now goes to THE NOT FORGOTTEN ASSOCIATION. A letter of authorisation with the charity number on will be on display at each dance.

 

You have raised a total in excess of £1090 for the ROYAL BRITISH LEGION from the middle of 2008 untill December of 2009.

We started to collect for THE NOT FORGOTTEN ASSOCIATION in January of 2010 and you have so far raised a total in excess of £630 . We will keep you up to date with how much you help to raise. THE NOT FORGOTTEN ASSOCIATION Information Pamflets are available both dances.

We would like to thank everyone who helps us out at both SPITFIRE BOUNCE and OTFORD SWING with the setting up and taking down of all the decoration and equipmenmt throughout each dance. Without your help this part of the dances would take a lot longer and would reduce the amout of entertainment time.

 


We also want to thank all of the Guest DJ's for their work at each dance.

 

 

Most of all we would like to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to everyone who comes along and supports us in our efforts to maintain a constant high level of entertainment & fun for everyone.
